Future Farmers Scholarship Winners
With pleasure we announce the winners of the Future Farmers Scholarships! Congratulations to Peter Mahy, Amanda
Mahy and Sally Downie who each received a $1,000 scholarship towards a RuralBiz Training course of their choice.
Pictured: Peter & Amanda Mahy with their two children.
Peter & Amanda are a husband and wife team who run a fledgling Wagyu cattle production near Boggabri. They
are both studying the Diploma of Agriculture as part of the Bachelor of Agricultural and Management pathway.
Like a lot of our students they also juggle their farming enterprise with off farm jobs and raising a young
family. Read more about Peter & Amanda here.
Sally is 19 years old and comes from a family run dairy farm in Jemalong. Sally has faced some significant
health challenges since finishing school and that has really clarified for her that life is too short not
to follow her passion for farming. Sally is enrolling in the Diploma of Agriculture.
If you are interested in studying a Diploma of Agriculture visit our website or contact us for more information.
