Danielle Andersson represented RuralBiz at the NSW Landcare Conference which was held in Broken Hill during October. She caught up with lots of our current and former students and chatted with some future students about our courses in community coordination and facilitation that have been written especially for Landcare coordinators - if you want info about these courses give us a shout! She also caught up on the latest in ecosystem management which will help update our natural resource management units. We were delighted to offer a newsletter sign up prize of a BioMe gift voucher, won by Mason Crane from Sustainable Farms ANU.

$ SUBSIDISED TRAINING $

Would you like to undertake some training but need a little financial assistance? We have a lot of options to make getting the skills you need to be productive and profitable affordable to do. One of the ways we do this is by applying to state governments for subsidies on behalf of students.

TASMANIA: Generous subsidies of up to 90% of your course fee for full qualifications - Certificate IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma. Contact us today to discuss! Don't delay, we need expressions of interest by Friday 8 November!! Email or call 02 6884 8812

NSW: Drought Skills fund will fully subsidise any nationally accredited training that will help improve productivity, employability or drought resilience for eligible applicants. Training must be able to be completed by 30 June 2020 so we would recommend no more than 2-3 units be selected. Click here to view some unit suggestions or contact us to chat about what units would be most suitable for you.

Chemical Card Plus

Fully subsidised face to face courses - limited places available, expressions of interest required by Fri 8 November.

Mullaley - Friday 29th Nov

Kings Plains - Thursday 12th Dec

Contact our office on 02 6884 8812 or support@ruralbiztraining.com.au to register your interest. Online and distance education options also available. This training is subsidised by the NSW Government.

#BUYFROMTHEBUSH

With Christmas approaching, we couldn't be more excited about the #buyfromthebush movement. We encourage all our friends to check out the gorgeous producers, artisans and retailers from the bush and get started on your Christmas shopping. They have just opened a sister page called #stayinthebush to highlight all the great places to stay off the beaten track!

Check them out on Facebook or Instagram!

Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain!

Finally Some Rain! Now, we all know we're in the grip of a devastating drought, and not everyone was fortunate enough to be under this weather system but over the last week, heavy rain across parts of Queensland and New South Wales has given a little bit of hope. And farming families are celebrating the only way they know how. I know a lot of you would have seen this but we love a 'cheeky' bit of rain footage.
