Lynton and Dianne Pratt

Lynton and Dianne Pratt believe that establishing a pattern of lifelong learning is critical to a satisfying life experience. They are thrilled to collaborate with RuralBiz Training to achieve this aim. Having completed the Diploma, they are now working on the Advanced Diploma with hopes to complete an agricultural related Masters over time.

“We were tree changers before it was trendy to do so” Lynton explained of his 18 years of experience in the beef and timber industries. They settled on three adjoining former dairy farms near Casino, NSW, and have since adopted a range of biological farming practices in an effort to improve their country and their carrying capacity.

The contacts that Lynton and Dianne have established through their association with RuralBiz, have meant their education could be tailored to suit their specific business needs. “Shortly we will have the opportunity to learn about faecal worm counts from a well regarded expert in the field, who we wouldn’t have otherwise been exposed to” Dianne explained. “RuralBiz has opened up a new world of learning and experience for us, which has been invaluable to our business and to our personal growth”.
