After 30 years of working on the land, Glen Andreazza was ecstatic to have his skills and experience recognised by completing the Advanced Diploma of Agriculture.
What Glen found most satisfying was the fact he was able to complete a number of the units in the Diploma by Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
“I got through the Diploma by using Recognition of Prior Learning for most of it,” he said.
“I didn’t think you were able to do something like this so it was definitely a big plus for me.”
Glen believes having the Diploma to his name helped him considerably after he was made a director with Sunrice.
“It is great having something there behind me to support the skills I’ve learned over the last 30 years.
“I would recommend it to everyone especially as you can use the skills you have learnt while working on the farm and put that towards your Diploma.”
Glen’s 180 ha and 190 ha properties at Wilbriggie, Southern NSW, focus on rice, wheat and canola production.
