The Working Woman. This image means a lot to me as a female working in Agriculture in Australia. Its mood displays strong work ethic, and reflects a story, of all woman who come before us in Agricultures history.

Photo

Lara Burrow - Albany, Western Australia
The Workman's Best friend. The kelpie. For me working dogs, no matter the breed, are the beings who represent determination and never ending loyalty. In times of hardship in rural settings, dogs will never let you down, and never leave your side.

These photos capture the memory of an amazing, hardworking, and devoted dog.

Cassandra Butler - Simpsons Creek, Victoria
Captured on our farm near Shepparton, Victoria, this spring morning reveals nature’s quiet artistry — a dew-kissed spider web woven between barbed wire, glistening in the first light of dawn. A moment where resilience meets beauty, reminding us of the delicate balance between farm life and the natural world that surrounds it.

Photo

Cassandra Butler - Simpsons Creek, Victoria
A golden Merrigum sunset paints the sky over a quiet farmland channel in rural Victoria. The mirrored reflection of the trees and fiery clouds captures the calm and beauty of country life — where water, light, and land meet in perfect balance.

Photo

Cassandra Butler - Simpsons Creek, Victoria
When the tractor got bogged, the whole family pitched in — and my son was first on the job. Barefoot, muddy, and grinning from ear to ear, he threw himself into the task with all the determination in the world. It’s moments like this that show what farming’s really about: family, teamwork, and a love for Country that starts young.

`Brahma Bull: The Tranquil Guardian of Nature`
Beneath the dappled shade of a sprawling tree by the Norman River in Normanton, a magnificent Brahma Bull lounged in serene leisure. With its majestic stature and striking features, this gentle giant seemed to embody the spirit of the land. As it relaxed, the world bustled around it—birds flitted by, and the soft rustle of leaves danced in the gentle breeze. The Brahma Bull, with its calm demeanour and rich, warm colours, was more than just a beautiful beast; it was a living testament to the tranquillity found in nature's embrace.

`Nature's Harmony: The Grevillea Feast`
This beast was happily munching away on a grevillea bush out the back of our place in the bush at Greenvale, QLD. The creature was in its element, enjoying the sweet flavours of the leaves, completely at ease in the bush surroundings. It was a chill moment, just nature and this animal vibing in the beautiful landscape.

**`The Majestic Brahma Bull: A Breeder's Pride`**
The Brahma Bull is an impressive specimen, characterised by its strong build and lustrous coat that catches the light beautifully. This bull exhibits excellent conformation and a calm temperament, making it a valuable addition to any breeding program. As it rests in the shade by the Norman River in Normanton, QLD, it demonstrates not only its adaptability to the environment but also its potential for producing hardy offspring. Its presence is a testament to the robust qualities of the Australian outback cattle, reflecting both strength and resilience in the breed.

On the outskirts of Goondiwindi, a fierce dust storm swept through, followed by an intense dry electrical storm. With lightning striking all around, it was too dangerous to step outside, so I set my tripod out the car window and captured this 10-second exposure. The image reveals multiple bolts illuminating the dark sky over the open paddocks, a dramatic display of nature’s raw power.

I went out to take some photos of the canola and while I was there it was a buzz with bees, so I set myself the challenge of trying to capture a bee on a canola flower. Needless to say, this was by far the best shot! I actually managed to get the bee as it was `dancing` on the flower to let the other bees know there was pollen here for the taking. Such an amazing moment!

This was captured in our home paddock after a rain event went through. I went out to see the rainbow that had formed and noticed that the sheep were walking up the hill, right into the end of the rainbow.

It had been another dry winter and spring and we were supplement feeding our SAMM ewes with lupins to prepare them for mating. As I headed out to the paddock with the sheep feeder, I noted that the ewes had simultaneously spotted me and were charging to the edge of the paddock in a long perfect line. It reminded me of the charge of the lighthorse. I just had to capture that moment! It's not that common for our sheep to be so orderly! I love how this shot depicts the uniformity of the scene, the sheep all running in a line, parallel to the rows of trees behind them, and in black and white the contrast of the trees and sheep compared to the barren land really is highlighted. For me this was an ag-mazing moment!
