Students from South Australia may be eligible for a subsidy for the following courses:
AHC40122 Certificate IV in Agriculture
AHC40422 Certificate IV in Horticulture
AHC50122 Diploma of Agriculture
AHC51422 Diploma of Agribusiness Management
Your participant course fee will be calculated and provided to you before we proceed with your enrolment and will vary depending on your unit selection and your location. Eligibility Requirements
General eligibility:
A student may be eligible for a subsidised training place if they live or work in South Australia, and:
- are an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or
- are a permanent Australian resident, or
- hold a state sponsored visa on a pathway to permanent residency (see Eligible visa types)
and are:
- 16 years or over and not enrolled at school.

Course Fees and Indicative Subsidies
Indicative Subsidies:
Subsidy amounts may vary depending on your unit selection, our office will confirm your course fee with you during the enrolment process.
- AHC40122 Certificate IV in Agriculture - indicative participant fee: $525.00 (1050 hours x $0.50 per hour)
- AHC40422 Certificate IV in Horticulture - indicative participant fee: $470.00 (940 hours x $0.50 per hour)
- AHC50122 Diploma of Agriculture - indicative participant fee: $1,886.41 ($12,000 course fee less $10,113.59 subsidy)
- AHC51422 Diploma of Agribusiness Management - indicative participant fee $4,754.74 ($12,000 course fee less $7,245.26 subsidy)

Farm Access Requirements
It is an entry requirement that you have access to a farm that is operating on a commercial scale on which you can base your assessments.
As a guide, your chosen farm should show these characteristics:
- Operated as a business for profit
- Have commercial scale
- Have agricultural enterprises such as commercial crops or livestock
- Be close to where you live so you can be physically on it regularly (e.g. weekly)
- Be able to provide you with details of past production, management processes, costs, prices etc.

Skills SA Student Support Standards
Skills SA and RuralBiz Training are committed to the wellbeing of all VET students undertaking subsidised training in South Australia.
RuralBiz Training is dedicated to supporting students from the moment they enrol, throughout their studies, and for up to 12 weeks after they complete their course.
During the enrolment process, RuralBiz Training conducts an Upfront Assessment of Need (UAN) Assessment with each student. This ensures that students meet the required suitability for their chosen qualification, have their support needs identified, and are assessed on their literacy and numeracy skills prior to starting their chosen course of study.
