Skills SA and RuralBiz Training are committed to the wellbeing of all VET students undertaking subsidised training in South Australia.

RuralBiz Training is dedicated to supporting students from the moment they enrol, throughout their studies, and for up to 12 weeks after they complete their course.

During the enrolment process, RuralBiz Training conducts an Upfront Assessment of Need (UAN) Assessment with each student. This ensures that students meet the required suitability for their chosen qualification, have their support needs identified, and are assessed on their literacy and numeracy skills prior to starting their chosen course of study.

    Success and Wellbeing Services (SWS)

SWS is a State Government-funded program designed to make sure all students get the support they need to succeed, regardless of the challenges they may face. The program provides free non-clinical case management support to students who face challenges that may impact their ability to complete their studies.

RuralBiz Training has a Success and Wellbeing Services partnership with SYC Ltd. This partnership ensures every student has access to the guidance and resources required to overcome obstacles and reach their full potential. Through SYC, students are paired with a dedicated Success and Wellbeing Coach who provides personalised support, such as dealing with academic challenges, personal issues, or mental health concerns. Each student's coach is there to keep them on track and help them to achieve their goals. Students are made aware of this service during their pre-enrolment interview and through email communications prior to starting their course. Eligible students are encouraged to access this service if required throughout the duration of their studies.
