I’ve been involved in Ag for over 20 years, from working as a farm hand to managing farms, amongst a variety of other roles. After many years of hard work, my wife and I were able to purchase a farm near Young on the south-west slopes of NSW which is where we reside today.
Alongside the farm I worked as Biosecurity Weeds Officer with local government for 6 years before moving into a new role with Local Land Services (LLS) as the Invasive Species Team Leader.
After12 amazing years here we are now in the transition of selling our farm and relocating to the south coast to be closer to our family. I will still retain my passion for agriculture and encourage anyone who wants to gain some extra practical skills to invest into their role at work or their farming enterprise to embark on study. The content in the RuralBiz Training Diploma of Agriculture was very informative and I thoroughly enjoyed the soils and plant-based units.
A big thank you for the fantastic experience and all the wonderful support from not only the trainers and my guardian angel, but also the support staff. I really appreciate it.
