Course(s) Studied: Certificate IV in Agriculture

I grew up and still reside on a family-owned property near Wellington in Central West NSW. My family runs a mixed enterprise - breeding merinos and cattle, and growing fodder crops. I work alongside my father on both the farm and in our contract fencing business.

Throughout school I studied Agriculture and was part of the Equestrian and Stock show teams. Outside of work I’m an avid horsewoman, spending my time camp drafting and showing our Australian stock horses that we breed on our family property.

I’m passionate about pasture management and livestock nutrition and have been fortunate enough to work alongside some great agronomists in our area. This experience has developed my interest in Agronomy and associated services.

Studying the Certificate IV in Agriculture through RuralBiz has provided me the opportunity to continue my learning after a major health issue that left me unable to complete my schooling. The course has given me a pathway to continued learning and has allowed me to refine my skills and redevelop my passion. I enjoyed the flexible hours and self-paced learning as it enabled me to continue to work full-time and enjoy my hobbies such as waterskiing on summer weekends.
