I was raised on a farm in the south-eastern region of South Australia, where our focus was primarily on prime lamb production plus cereal and oilseed cropping. This early exposure shaped my passion for agriculture and gave me a strong practical foundation across a range of enterprises.
Living now in the mid-north of South Australia on a cropping property with my partner, I really wanted to strengthen my skills in the business and strategic management side of the business. I was lucky enough to win a full scholarship with RuralBiz Training for the Advanced Diploma in Agribusiness Management, and the formal training has greatly complimented my extensive on-farm experience.
I really enjoyed participating in this qualification and learned a lot about people management and HR related topics. The course has given me the knowledge and confidence to understand many different concepts, and to be able to have the confidence to prepare inductions and perform risk management assessments on the farm. It has been invaluable to me.
