Our fourth-generation family farm at Evans Plains in Central West NSW runs about 4,000 Merino sheep and crossbred lambs for wool and meat production.
As a relatively new partner in the business, I have enjoyed taking a more active role in future planning and management by applying the skills I gained through the Diploma.
Learning how to develop and implement policies and procedures has significantly improved the way we run our business. I have also begun exploring new ways to manage our resources and respond to climate change.
A highlight of the course was participating in the AgForums and connecting with students from across Australia. Through these connections, I gained valuable ideas for improving our business based on what others had successfully implemented.
I felt well supported by the office staff and trainers throughout the course and would gladly recommend RuralBiz to anyone seeking further education in agriculture.
