Course(s) Studied: Certificate IV in Agriculture
I grew up deeply connected to farming, spending my early years on my grandfather’s small-scale farm, working with livestock and cropping using traditional methods. That experience planted a lifelong passion for agriculture and animal production, leading me to study Animal Science at university. Today, I work as a Feed Mill Supervisor at Thomas Foods International, Southern Cross Feedlot in South Australia. My role focuses on feed manufacturing, quality control, and managing daily feedlot operations that support the production of high-performing, healthy cattle.
I chose to study through RuralBiz Training because of its strong reputation for flexible, industry-relevant agricultural education that supports people working full-time in the sector. I appreciated how practical and engaging the training was—especially the way it connected directly to real-world farming systems and modern feedlot operations. The support from the trainers and the RuralBiz team made the learning journey both manageable and rewarding.
Now that I’ve completed my Certificate IV in Agriculture, my goal is to continue advancing in animal nutrition and leadership within the feedlot industry. In the long term, I would like to pursue postgraduate studies in Animal Nutrigenomics and Agribusiness (MBA) to combine science, business, and leadership skills and play a role in developing sustainable and commercially successful farming systems.
Finally, I’d like to thank the RuralBiz Training team for their ongoing support and professionalism throughout my studies. To anyone passionate about agriculture and looking to upskill while working, I highly recommend RuralBiz Training. It provides the flexibility, knowledge, and encouragement you need to grow - both personally and professionally as a future leader in the agricultural industry.
