Growing up in the city, I never imagined that one day I would be building a life in the country. Moving to the land in my 50’s with my husband and parents has been a rewarding journey that has given me a deep appreciation for agriculture, sustainability, and the resilience required in rural life. What began as a dream of living more simply has grown into a passion for learning how to care for the land and livestock in a way that supports a sustainable future.
Being selected for the Certificate IV in Agriculture scholarship is an incredible honour, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity. I’m excited to expand my knowledge, develop practical skills, and continue learning from those in the industry. My hope is to use this knowledge to build a sustainable life on the land and share it with others for generations to come.
